BMC Rehabilitation Department

Rehabilitation Department located in Bastrop Medical Center offers a variety of outpatient services for adults and children. All services are provided by a highly qualified and dedicated staff of physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, an occupational therapist and a speech therapist.

Outpatient Rehab Services include:

  • Orthopedic therapy non-surgical and post-operative treatment for inpatients or outpatients with fractures, joint replacements, or other bone and joint injuries. Treatment is provided for both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Cardiac rehabilitation Phase III cardiac rehabilitation for patients who may have had a heart attack or have coronary artery disease.
  • Neurological therapy individual treatment plans for patients recovering from stroke head and spinal injuries, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and Parkinson's disease are developed by staff certified in neurological treatment. A comprehensive approach is used for treatment including occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and continuous communication with the referring physician.
  • Pain Syndromes treatment plans for patients suffering from chronic pain in the neck, back or extremities; pain from traumatic injury; repetitive motion disorders; or fibromyalgia.
