| Our goal is to provide quality services, assist you in regaining your independence and promote wellness. We provide outpatient rehabilitation services to Bastrop County and the surrounding communities as well as provide inpatient therapy services to Smithville Regional Hospital.
We are a team of professionals dedicated to your wellness. Our team consists of two physical therapists, two speech language pathologists and two occupational therapists. We have staff, that are NDT certified and certified personal trainers. Our staff also has numerous hours of training in management of orthopedic conditioning, LBP, pain syndromes and neurological disorders for both children and adults. |

Physical Therapy Services & Treatment We Provide
Cardiopulmonary Rehab: Cardiac rehabilitation for patients who may have had a heart attack or have coronary artery disease. Rehab goals are to enhance independence with self care, activities of daily living as well as functional strength and endurance. Neurologic Disorders: Individual treatment for patients recovering from CVA, MS, Spinal injuries, CP and Parkinson’s Disease, including speech and occupational therapy services. Orthopedics: Non-surgical and post operative treatments for inpatients or outpatients with fractures, joint replacements and other bone/joint injuries. Pain Syndrome: Patients with chronic pain in the back, neck or extremities or pain from traumatic injury, repetitive motion or fibromyalgia. Work/Sport Related Injuries: Adult and adolescent. Balance Dysfunctions: Vestibular/dizziness rehab for central and peripheral vestibular dysfunctions. Physical Therapy performs a comprehensive evaluation and develops a program to habituate and accommodate the dysfunction to reduce chance of dizzy and reduce falls and potential fall risk. Dystonia Management: Comprehensive management under physician guidance. Treatment goals of physical therapy include patient education, increasing and/or preserving range of motion and mobility needed for function and strengthening weakend muscles. Occupational Therapy: Occupational Therapy provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment persons with pulmonary disease, neurological disorders, work related injuries and pain syndromes. Services include adaptive equipment, cognitive remediation, energy conservation and life style adjustments secondary to illness/recent hospitalization. Speech Therapy: Comprehensive care for diagnosis such as CVA, Parkinson's Disease, Cerebral Palsy developmental delay and early stages of dementia. Services are available for all ages both children and adults. Treatment interventions for swallow difficulties, voice problems, impaired cognition, impaired memory and speech impairments are provided at BMC rehabilitation department. |

How do I make an initial appointment? Consult your physician and request referral to physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy or call our office at (512) 304-0331. We can assist you in obtaining a physician referral and verify insurance coverage. Do I have to have a physician referral? No, we can evaluate certain patients without referrals but a physician order is required for insurance payment and continued treatment. We also accept referrals from Physician Assistants, Chiropractors and Family Practitioners. What should I wear to therapy? Loose, comfortable clothing. |

How long are the appointments? The initial evaluation usually lasts approximately 60 minutes. Follow up visits vary from 40 to 90 minutes, depending on your individualized treatment plan. What does this service cost me? The cost varies dependent on your insurance co-pay/plan. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, worker’s compensation, private insurance and cash payment. |
