Welcome to Smithville Regional Hospital's Department of Emergency Medicine.

At Smithville Regional Hospital (SRH), we understand that no one can predict when an accident or medical emergency will occur. If it does, we want our community to be confident in knowing that advanced emergency care is available to them in a comfortable, nearby location.

The Emergency Department at SRH is a specialized unit designed to provide quality emergency care 24 hours per day, everyday of the year. The Emergency Department sees approximately 11,000 patients per year. We know that a visit to the Emergency Department can be an upsetting and frightening experience for some people; however, our staff is highly trained and will provide the best care possible. We will try to make your stay here as comfortable as possible.

Current renovations at SRH will include the most ultra-modern Emergency Department in the Bastrop area.

Currently, our Emergency Department includes:

  • 2,100 square feet of patient-care areas.
  • 2 private treatment rooms (including 1 trauma/critical care room).
  • A private enclosed triage room.
  • Quick access to other key treatment areas in the hospital.
  • Security systems and ambulance access.
  • Waiting areas for family and friends.

Along with these advances, our physicians, nurses, and staff are committed to providing personalized, quality care with compassion, dignity, and respect. Our staff includes physicians who are Board Certified, and Emergency Department nurses with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), pediatric, and trauma training.

CALL 911 IF YOU NEED IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION. For your other urgent care needs, Smithville Regional Hospital is conveniently located at 800 East Highway 71, Smithville, Texas 78957.
