Our full service Clinical Laboratory provides services for the hospital, as well as, physician offices, clinics, nursing homes and home health agencies in our surrounding community.
Laboratory services are provided for a wide range of diagnostic tests that may be ordered by your physician. The SRH Laboratory performs tests for hospital inpatients and supports the hospital’s emergency department. Outpatient testing is also provided for home health nursing services, medical clinics, consultants, nursing homes, and out- of- town physicians. Outpatients must register for tests at the admissions office. Even though no appointment is needed, a written or faxed physician’s order is required before collection of samples. The lab is open for outpatients Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except for holidays.
Since the laboratory opened in September of 1995 at its present location, it has been staffed 24 hours 7 days a week for inpatients and emergency room patients. The staff is an experienced and trained registered or licensed medical technologist with an AS or BS degree. The staff is trained to utilize the newest state-of-the-art computerized analyzers on the market today. Our staff continues to have in-services and training as needed.
